Traditional classical ballet performances are usually choreographed to classical music however some modern choreographers have become creative with these traditions.

Jazz
Jazz dance emerged in the 20th century when African American and European dance styles started to blend. Over time Jazz began using techniques from Ballet, took on influences from Latin culture and it evolved alongside the current popular music that it accompanies. Sharp, rhythmic and fast paced movements are often characteristics of Jazz.
Preschool Creative Dance
Perfect for the littlest dancers. This style explores music using imagination, props, and improvisation. Dancers learn physical skills, creative expression, timing, body and spatial awareness, in a playful manner. These classes help develop skills such as self-confidence, concentration, turn taking, collaboration, social skills, problem solving and more. Above all these classes are loads of fun!

Pointe
Pointe is an advanced technique of Ballet where the dancer supports all their body weight on the tips of their toes using Pointe shoes. This is said to create the illusion that the ballerina is dancing on air. Advanced experience in ballet technique is essential to this dance style. Classes have an intense focus on building strength in the feet, ankles and core to progress safely to dancing En Pointe.
Tap
In Tap dance, students make rhythmic sounds using shoes fitted with heel and toe plates. This percussive element compliments the music of a performance. With a rich history stemming from America, Tap is a high energy and unique dance style.
